The name Slowful is a pun. It is a compound word, composed of the words “slow” and “powerful”. The mix was created in reminiscence of the hip hop radio shows of the 90's and early 00's: New York Live with DJ Riz & Mr. Mayhem on WNYU, The Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Show with DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito García on Kiss FM, Villa65 on Radio 3 hosted by Mental Case, 2Tall & DJ Knowhow a.k.a The Dutch Masters, Def Beats with DJ Inspector G and Rappers' Paradise with DJ Groove, both on Jam FM. The good old days when everything went a little slower.
