Exactly one hour long. What a precision landing. Honcho is packed with dope tracks from mostly late 2022 and 2023. Most of them stayed in my playlist for quite a while.
Of course, Herr van Toll took the photo, gave the idea for the ski mask and advised with arrangements of the cover. I love how it turned out.
From the first track, MC Eiht's Honcho feat. Conway the Machine & DJ Premier - which inspired the name of the mixtape - to the last track, Boot Camp Clik's hard-hitting Wotcha Call Strength, the mixtape is a Hip Hop festival. Consider it my late contribution to honor and celebrate of Hip Hop 50. It's unbelievable how much good music has been released in the last few years. Keep your heads noddin'!
